Dear friends,
To close my exhibition "On the Edge of Time" at the Château de Vullierens, I invite you to a moment of encounter between art, trees, light, and life with:
Ernst Zurcher
Sunday, October 18 at 4PM in Vullierens
A scientist, researcher, and great expert on trees, Ernst Zürcher will guide us in a reflection on nature, time, and its rhythms.
We will meet an exceptional tree in the park of Vullierens: a Virginia tulip tree, a remarkable and very old specimen, whose presence brings us to another measure of time — that of trees.
Back at the gallery, and in response to my installation
"dew drops", Ernst Zurcher will explore this phenomenon, whose almost imperceptible presence appears on the border between night and day, between air and matter...
In Arabic, dew is called "tal," and what if we could for a moment hear the Spanish expression "¿que tal?" in another way: "how is your dew doing?"
A light but perhaps essential question: what about that fragile part of us that connects us to the world, to our planet, to all living things? Looking forward to seeing you again at the Château de Vullierens for this moment of sharing.

Ernst Zürcher, born in 1951 in Lausanne, is a Swiss forestry engineer, Doctor of Natural Sciences, Professor Emeritus of Wood Science and a researcher recognized for his work on the chronobiology of trees and the links between forests and human health..
